The NFB of Georgia State Convention
is October 6-8, 2006 in Atlanta, Georgia.

A special session for the Parent's Division (GOPBC)
will be taking place throughout the day Saturday, October 7.

We are especially excited to have our special guest Joe Cutter join us this year
to share some of his extensive knowledge and experience in working with young children and their vision issues.

Email us for more details and please read the following for more information about Joe Cutter!

Joe Cutter has over 35 years in the field of Orientation and Mobility, believing in a child-centered approach where the parent is the child's first teacher and promoting a positive developmental model that promotes skill development as the key to success. The goal of this philosophy is independent living for the blind and/or visually impaired person.

A resident of New Jersey, Mr. Cutter has been certified by the State of New Jersey as a Teacher of the Developmentally Handicapped (Special Education). He also holds New Jersey Certifications as a Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impaired and in Orientation and Mobility ("O&M").

Now retired from the State of New Jersey, Mr. Cutter continues to work as a private consultant. He has worked with the National Organization of Parents of Blind Children (the GOPBC's National Affiliate) for many years and the GOPBC would like to take the liberty of bestowing upon him the title of "Friend of the NOPBC and GOPBC" as a small token of our appreciation for all he does for our children.

Areas of Mr. Cutter's Specialization Include:

The GOPBC wishes to thank Joe Cutter in advance for his willingness to work with us and hopes you can join us for his presentations on October 7th.
This is a rare opportunity to gain a lot of information from an expert on several topics of interest to parents of Georgia's Blind Children.

We don't want to forget one other thing-- After spending Saturday morning and afternoon learning from Joe Cutter and our other guests & friends, don't miss out on the chance to attend the 2006 Black Tie / White Cane Banquet!
